Kate and Gerry McCann have spent two hours at a police station near Praia Da Luz as the Portuguese media continues to report their missing four-year old daughter died on the night of her disappearance. Police won't confirm the reports. The parents of missing four-year-old Madeleine McCann spent two hours in the headquarters of Portimao's police on Wednesday (August 8), according to police sources. Television images showed Gerry McCann driving a car out of the back entrance of the building at around 1600GMT, after meeting members of the police team investigating the disappearance of the British girl. His wife Kate was sitting next to him. The McCanns appearance at the police station comes as Portuguese media continued to report on as-yet unconfirmed police findings of traces of blood on the wall of the apartment from where Madeleine went missing. The reports say there are fears she might have been murdered and thrown into the sea near Praia da Luz. Some newspapers have also speculated on a possible connection between the case and people close to the McCanns or even the McCanns themselves. However, it was still not clear on Wednesday whether the blood belonged to Madeleine as tests have not yet been completed and the newspapers had not said how police had come to the conclusion that the child was murdered. An hour after leaving Portimao's police station, Gerry McCann was seen arriving at the Praia da Luz villa where he and his family have decided to stay until Madeleine's case is resolved. Also on Wednesday, Belgian justice officials said that a DNA test to confirm whether the girl seen in Belgium over a week ago was the missing British four-year-old, has proved inconclusive. Gerry McCann said on Tuesday (August 4) in a televised interview that he strongly believed his daughter was alive, rejecting the reports. Madeleine went missing from the Praia da Luz resort in the Algarve tourist region on May 3, just yards from where her parents were dining.
