PORTUGAL: Algarve drownings: survivors speak out

A half-term holiday ended with three families torn apart when 3 British adults and a German tourist drowned in the treacherous waters of the south west coast of Portugal on 23.10.2007. They were part of a group of adults who ran into the sea to save their children who were struggling with the waves. Those who survived have now spoken for the first time about the events on that dreadful day and the kindness of strangers.
