POLITICS: Gordon Brown unveils top priorities in Commons speech

The new Prime Minister Gordon Brown chose to give MPs a curtain raiser of the laws he wants to introduce in the Queen's Speech this autumn. The main priorities include the housing crisis facing first time buyers, to be addressed with plans to build more houses and make it easier for people to buy their own homes. There will be more NHS reforms and radical education changes with every child having to stay on at school or in training until they're 18.
