POLITICS: Cash for Honours: Labour party in difficulty paying back loan

The Labour Party has admitted to "acute cash flow problems", as it hunts for a way to pay back a million pound loan to a businessman. It's emerged tonight Professor Sir Christopher Evans has given the Labour party three months to settle the debt in full. The revelation came as the Electoral Commission published the first comprehensive list of the debts run up by Britain's political parties. Its shows that the Labour Party owes a total of £23 million and the Conservatives are even further in debt with liabilities of £35 million.
