Police digging up the garden of a house have found a second set of human remains. The body of 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton was found at the house in Margate, Kent on Monday but police pledged to continue the search for missing teenager Dinah McNicol. An Essex Police spokeswoman said: "There has been a significant development at the site in Margate. Further human remains have been discovered and a post mortem is being arranged."The McNicol family have been informed but there is no indication at this stage of the identity of the remains."Vicky went missing from the town of Bathgate, West Lothian, in 1991 - more than 490 miles from where her body was unearthed. A 61-year-old man, Peter Tobin, has been charged with her murder.Essex Police originally believed the remains found at the address, where Tobin once lived, were those of Dinah. The 18-year-old student disappeared the same year as Vicky when she failed to return to her home in Tillingham after a trip to Hampshire.Police said it was "impossible to say" if there were more bodies to be found at the house. They promised to continue their search, whether or not the second set of remains are Dinah's.Essex Police spokeswoman Kim Perks said: "We have still got a lot of investigating to do. Even if there are no other human remains here, we have still got forensic work to do."If Dinah is here, it's a crime scene. We've still got a lot more work to do in that house."© Independent Television News Limited 2007. All rights reserved.
