More contact has been made with the British couple being held captive by pirates off the coast of Somalia. A tearful Rachel Chandler urged her family not to worry about her in a phone call to ITV News. She told her brother Stephen Collett she was "bearing up" and added: "Please do not worry about us. We are managing." Mrs Chandler broke down during the call despite repeatedly reassuring her brother that she was being well cared for. She said: "I'm bearing up. Thank you for everything you are doing. We are safe." Mrs Chandler, 55, from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, added: "Physically we are fine. Physically we are healthy." It is believed the pair are back at sea after spending a night on land, in a village on Somalia's coast. Meanwhile, a second British couple targeted by pirates have spoken of their lucky escape. Tony and Audrey Walter, of Hayling Island, Hampshire, described how a French warship came to their rescue as they were sailing off the east African coast in February this year.
