Philippines' shattered peace process -- 21 August 2008

A potential peace pact between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front fighters in the south now seems all but impossible. Dozens have been killed in a series of attacks and Mindanao residents caught in the crossfire are taking matters into their own hands.
