Paris Hilton gets political

Paris Hilton has created an ad in response to presidential candidate John McCain's campaign video which featured her. The campaign video titled Celeb features shots of socialite Paris Hilton and singer Britney Spears as well as shots of McCain's rival Barack Obama speaking at a huge event. The ad was trying to imply that Obama is more of a celebrity icon than a potential president. The McCain video asks viewers: "Is he (Obama) ready to lead?" In Paris Hilton's version she calls McCain "the oldest celebrity in the world" and questions if he is ready to lead. She said: "That old guy used me in his campaign, which I guess means I'm running for president. I'm like totally ready to lead." Paris Hilton's mother, a McCain donor, has criticised the presidential candidate's video. Kathy Hilton said: "It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States."
