The deadline in the latest attempt to broker a reconciliation between rival Palestinian factions, Hamas and Fatah, expires on 25 October.If successful, the agreement would pave the way for elections.Hamas has been in control of Gaza for over two years, but opinion polls show a slump in its support.Tim Franks reports.
