From medicinal teas to tablets therapeutic liquid tonics, Salus products are bestsellers in Europe, Japan and the US. After the war, Otto Greither gradually transformed his father's medicinal plant garden into a modern company that today boasts a workforce of over 400 and a turnover of some 100 million euros. His own business model combining efficiency with the environment prompted Capital magazine and the World Wildlife Fund to name him "Eco-manager of the year" in 2003. Patrick Benning and Alexa Meyer tracked down Otto Greither at SALUS headquarters in Bruckmühl and at his farm in Chile - where he likewise tends an enormous garden.
