Obama on African development
US President Barack Obama has said that the African continent could become self-sufficient at providing food for its own people.He made the remarks at his closing address at the G8 summt in L'Aquila, Italy.The G8 leaders pledged $20bn (£12bn) for efforts to boost food supplies to the hungry, in a deal reached on the final day of the summit.
