
(NECN) - President-Elect Barack Obama named his environmental team Monday. The team signals his determination to address global warming quickly. "In the twenty first century, we know that the future of our economy and our national security is inextricably linked with one challenge, energy." Obama selected Nobel-prize winning physicist Steven Chu as energy secretary and Carol Browner, a confidant of former vice president Al Gore, to lead a White House council on energy and climate.
