Japanese police have released new video footage of a man wanted in connection with the death of the British woman Lindsay Hawker.Tatsuya Ichihashi is suspected of involvement in the death of 22-year-old Ms Hawker after her body was found in a sand-filled bathtub on the balcony of his apartment on March 26.Images of Mr Ichihashi were taken by a security camera in the lift of his apartment building several days before Ms Hawker's body was found. They have been widely shown on Japanese TV.The 28-year-old fled the apartment in the city of Ichikawa when police arrived to question him about the missing woman, losing his shoes and rucksack in the chase.Ms Hawker's father, who flew to Japan days after she was found, told a news conference that his daughter "was not in any sort of relationship with the suspect".After graduating from Leeds University last year Ms Hawker moved to Japan in October 2006 and had been teaching English at Koiwa school in Tokyo.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
