New CDC Safety Analyses Support Safety Profile Of Cervical Cancer Vaccine

October 22, 2008 - Preliminary results from a large safety study, called the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) project, presented for the first time today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) meeting did not find statistically significant risk for any of the pre-specified adverse events following vaccination with GARDASILĂ’ [Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent (Types 6, 11, 16 and 18) Vaccine, Recombinant] compared to those who were not vaccinated.
