NCAA College Football Quick Hitter with Dana Ward from Gamblers Television

The #1 ranked USC Trojans hit the road to open Pac 10 play on Thursday against the Oregon St Beavers on ESPN at 9PM Eastern. In 2006 the Trojans visited Reser Stadium in Corvallis and Oregon St pulled off the upset 33-31. But this years Oregon St squad is 0-2 against teams from BCS conferences including a 45-14 loss at #12 Penn St on ABC. USC is coming off a dominating 35-3 win over the Ohio St Buckeyes. The Trojans defense has only given up 10 points on the season. The early money is all on USC as the Trojans are a 25-point favorite after opening up as a 21 ½ point favorite. The Alabama Crimson Tide dominated the Arkansas Razorbacks 49-14 on the road in SEC play last week. This week the #8 ranked Crimson Tide must hit the road again this week as they visit the #3 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. This SEC Conference game is scheduled for 7:45PM Eastern with ESPN televising. Georgia announced that they would wear their black uniforms when they host Alabama Saturday night. The Bulldogs wore their black unis twice last season winning big in each game. Georgia is a 6-point favorite. Saturday night at 8PM Eastern Time on ABC Television the #22 ranked Illinois Fighting Illini travels to Happy Valley to face the #12 Penn St Nittany Lions. Illinois was the surprise of the Big 10 last year that culminated in a Rose Bowl berth. Penn St has been impressive this season with their closest margin of victory being 31 points in their 4 games this season. Penn St opened as a 16-½ point favorite but the early money has been on Illinois as the Nittany Lions are currently a 14-point favorite. That will do it for todays College Football report.
