NBA Finals Playoffs Game 1 LA Lakers @ Boston Celtics Preview

The LA Lakers went 12-3 in the playoffs against what many say was the toughest Western Conference ever. Kobe Bryant is having an outstanding post season averaging nearly 32 points a game on just under 51% shooting. You can’t double or triple team Kobe much because Lamar Odom is shooting 48% and Pau Gasol at 52% from the field in the playoffs. The Celtics haven’t seen an offense this potent this post season. Then you add Derek Fisher’s 47% shooting and Vlade Radmonovic at 46.4% and you have a starting 5 that will be very difficult to stop. The Lakers young, athletic and offensively talented bench will frustrate the Celtics. Boston struggled against young and running teams out West and Phil Jackson knows it. Allen Iverson, Deron Williams and Chris Paul gave Boston problems this season. Celtic backers will argue how Boston is a more physical squad. Look it doesn’t get any more physical than Jerry Sloan’s Utah Jazz team and you saw what the Lakers did to Utah in a 7 game series against one of the NBA’s best defensive minds. You are getting points in game 1 with LA and you better take it. Take LA Lakers +2 ½.
