This to me is the best celebrity performance this entire season. Natasha Bedingfield was introduced to me by a friend (thanks, Riz) with ehr song Soulmate. Got to be honest, my first impressions of her were just lukewarm, and Soulmate was just an okayish song for me. Then, she came on Idol and I totally fell in love. I mean, Oh My God. She's so talented its not even funny. I wish I had her voice. She just gets up there, stands so calmly, and hits every note perfectly and sings the song amazingly as if it's not a big deal at all. I love her voice. I love her vibrato. It's not like we haven't had good celebrities perform this season. But you know what I love most about Natasha? She's just a natural. Mariah and Leona Lewis were good, but when they were singing there were parts where their face just read "Okay!! Here are my big notes to pay attention!!!" Natasha on the other hand just stood there and got attention. What a fricking pro. This is what separates the best voices from the other voices. They sound as good or even better live than in the studio. They don't need multiple takes. They don't need pitch perfection. They don't need a earpieces to hear the key. They don't need a pre-recorded performance. And they don't need to lip synch. They just know they have it, and they bring it. Funny how after she sings she acts it wasn't anything at all. Yet she picks up a conversation with Ryan and her singing voice is just so different than her talking voice. Exceptional talent. You go Natasha! Fan for life here! Icing on the cake: She made David Archuleta all mushy and cute. I swear, when David A smiles its so innocent and adorable, he looks like he's in euphoria. Its like something just put a hanger in his mouth and stretched it all the way. It's so random and cute. xD Felt bad for Cook though.
