marla is a 6 yr old kid she started painting at one there is a new documentary out about her life and family MY KID COULD PAINT THAT is fascinating 2 me - on every level i am the marla website now watching her paint her parents taped it cut nicely to music their offer of proof of... i have often wondered what it feels like for my children 2 paint on huge stretched canvas they r intimidating 4 me having never seen one big and blank b4 me until i was 40 many r stacked here they wait for paint my kids come in grab one casually its bigger than they r getting the plastic wrap off is a challenge i have rules 2 colors at a time only and u CANNOT make muddy brown no matter what y they ask mommy hates brown i do its too blah for me bright enhance loud real vivi - life joni mitchell is blaring she moves in unison a brush in hand conducting an orchestra with a haddit on her head she feels it she connects as i try 2 but watching her is so much more compelling than anything i could ever make yes i tell her as she moves y do u listen to sad music she said to me one day it doesnt sound sad 2 me - i tell her well it is she says - its also too loud she has painted many pieces used colors i sometimes chose for her handing her a spatula pouring it over her hands into spray bottles and squirt bottles sponges and rags she knows anything that doesnt plug in she can paint and she does freely this baby who has only known me as the mom who paints she came after 9.11 when i was done with tv home mostly recovering celebrity detox shameless plug anyhoo this marla child the documentary the mom - the baby brother the reporter who warned what was 2 come she knew heavy and hard the perils of fame and art as HER mother was not fooled by jackson pollak the handsome preppy painter photorealistic which means really IMPOSSIBLE i mean try it try to paint something and make it look real so one would think it a print everyone has a story the dad there is much there 2 wonder about 4 me did he help guide twist some circles add 2 hey he was the spot operator nothing more i know a smart guy named michael who told he a story about photons of light when observed changed it was in time magazine he tried to explain it and although i cant recite what he said i totally got what he meant it is a given for me the light - god exists on we go arguing like fish debating the existence of h2o does it matter what is art so go see that movie MY KID COULD PAINT THAT let me know ur thoughts would ya peace in peace out here a lil movie of me and vivi and some stuff we both made together because of in conjunction with sharing thats the secret pass it on
