Musician Pete Doherty arrives at Thames Magistrates Court / General views of Thames Magistrates' Court

Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty escaped with a 700 pound fine and costs after pleading guilty to five charges of possessing drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine. The judge at Thames Magistrates Court told musician that a jail sentence was not justified, because the amount of drugs he was carrying was relatively small.
