More Storms Slam Midwest, Thousands Without Power

Strong thunderstorms pounded northern Illinois, damaging buildings, bringing planes and trains to a halt and leaving hundreds of thousands without power early Friday, while floodwaters that swamped other parts of the Midwest began receding.
