Moore becomes official Hollywood star

Legendary Bond actor Roger Moore has been awarded his own star on the the Hollywood Walk of Fame.After more than 50 years in showbusiness the 79-year-old received his plaque in front of 7007 Hollywood Boulevard - a nod to the star's most famous role.The veteran actor joins the likes of Britney Spears, Matt Damon and David Hasselhoff, on the famous stretch of road.The Saint star took over the role of Bond from Sean Connery in 1973 and played the debonair spy for 12 years, first appearing in Live And Let Die.Moore said: "Sadly, I had to retire from the Bond films... the girls were getting younger, or I was just getting too old."Fellow actor and friend Richard Kiel, who played Sir Roger's metal-mouthed nemesis Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker also attended the cermony.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
