Michael says no to Jackson Five reunion

Michael Jackson has poured cold water on news of a Jackson 5 reunion. According to Jermaine Jackson the whole family including Michael, Randy and Tito were producing new material and a series of shows for 2009, with sister Janet as the opening act. Internet forums have been awash with excited fans since it was announced that the Jackson 5 were making a comeback, but the King of Pop has said he will not be taking part. In a statement from his people he said that while his brothers and sisters had his full love and support, at this time he has no plans to record or tour with them. Jackson is currently in the recording studio working on what he calls "exciting projects" he is hoping to share with fans very soon. It is not the first time Jermaine has said this though. Since 2003 the Celebrity Big Brother star has been claiming a reunion is in the pipeline. After finding fame in the 70s with hits like ABC, the group fizzled out when Michael's solo career took off. They have not been on stage together since 2001.
