McFly song being beamed into space by NASA
Experts at Nasa have agreed to send a song by McFly into space after fans bombarded them via Twitter. The boy band's 2006 hit Star Girl will be beamed up to the International Space Station. The space agency offered 35 people the chance to talk live to the astronauts orbiting the earth, but there was such a huge response from fans of Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry their song was chosen instead. Star Girl includes the lyrics: "I was afraid when you kissed me/on your intergalactic Frisbee." On his Twitter page, Danny McFly has thanked Nasa, writing: "Epic. Thanks so much for playing our song in space. Dream come true."
