Mark Perloe, M.D. As Medical Director at Georgia Reproductive Specialists in Atlanta, Dr. Perloe has expertise in treating conditions related to infertility including polycystic ovary syndrome, recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, fibroids, male fertility problems and endocrine and other reproductive health problems. He also has extensive experience in in vitro fertilization and using the latest microsurgical techniques for reversing tubal sterilization. Current research include new tests for the diagnosis of recurrent pregnancy loss and in vitro maturation, minimal stimuation IVF. A clinical assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Perloe completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Minnesota. He holds an MD degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Hershey Medical Center and served his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin. He has conducted and published research in medical journals including Obstetrics & Gynecology, Southern Medical Journal, Human Reproduction and the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1986, he co-authored Miracle Babies and Other Happy Endings for Couples with Fertility Problems. Perloe is a frequent speaker at international medical conferences, serves as a medical consultant for a number of pharmaceutical companies and Web sites and is active as an advisory board member for INCIID, OBGYN.net and the Endometriosis Association. He is married, has two children, and enjoys theatre, playing with computers, sailing and traveling.
