Mann 'very grateful' for pardon

Former British soldier Simon Mann, who was jailed in Equatorial Guinea for his part in a coup plot, is expected to arrive back in the UK on Wednesday.Mann, 57, had been sentenced to 34 years in prison, but he was pardoned on Tuesday along with four South Africans.Mann admitted conspiring to oust Equatorial Guinea's president, but said he was only "a pawn" in the plot.In an interview following his release he said was grateful for the pardon and added that he had been treated well.
