With a victory over USC earlier this season the Oregon St Beavers control their destiny for a Rose Bowl Berth. But the Beavers have hit a bump in the road. Starting quarterback Lyle Moevao suffered a sore right shoulder during the second quarter of the Beavers 27-25 victory over Arizona St. Oregon St head coach Mike Riley told reporters that his starter is day to day and will be questionable on Saturday at UCLA. Backup Sean Canfield has been plagued by turnover problems during his career as he has passed for 14 touchdowns with 18 interceptions. He threw 9 picks in 4 road contests last year. Canfield also threw 2 interceptions with no TDs in last years 40-14 home loss to the Bruins. Oregon St is currently a 7 ½ point favorite. Oklahoma Sooners star defensive end Austin English is reported to miss the next three weeks. English suffered a sprained ankle in the third quarter of the Sooners 62-28 rout of archrival Nebraska on Saturday. The defensive end led the Big 12 Conference in sacks a year ago. Oklahoma plays at Texas A&M next Saturday and the Sooners are 25 point favorites. The Penn St Nittany Lions sit at #3 in the BCS standings and are at Iowa to tackle the Hawkeyes on Saturday. Nittany Lions starting quarterback Daryll Clark is expected to return to action. Clark suffered a concussion in Penn Sts 13 to 6 win over Ohio St on October 25th.
