A US judge has quashed an arrest warrant issued against actress and singer Lindsay Lohan. Los Angeles Superior Court judge Marsha N Revel ruled Lohan had not violated her probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction. The £35,000 warrant was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court late on Friday but Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said it stemmed from a misunderstanding. She said: "This was really much ado about nothing. As I indicated over the weekend, this was nothing more than a misunderstanding. "Miss Lohan has been in compliance. She continues to be in compliance. She satisfied all of the conditions of her probation and will continue to do so. "As soon as the judge saw the paperwork, everything was resolved, and I have every expectation that Miss Lohan will successfully complete probation." Judge Revel told the court she agreed that the actress has been complying with the terms of her probation but needed to show her treatment programme better documentation to avoid future court problems. The judge also noted that Lohan has not failed any drug or alcohol tests. "The reason that the warrant was initially issued was that the court did receive a letter from the program indicating some noncompliance," she said. Lohan pleaded guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanour counts of being under the influence of cocaine; no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 per cent and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years of probation. The plea came after a pair of high-profile arrests in 2007. Lohan was held after her Mercedes-Benz hit a tree in Beverly Hills. She was then arrested in Santa Monica a few weeks later after the mother of her former personal assistant called the police to report that her car was being chased by a car driven by Lohan.
