Lifeline - Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - BBC One

http://www.intaward.org/IAA/index.aspx The International Award is a self-development programme for all young people between the ages of 14 and 25. It aims to give them the tools to become healthy, happy individuals, who contribute to their communities as active citizens. Most importantly of all, it is fun! The Award was launched in the UK as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, in 1956. Since then, its universal appeal has ensured its rapid spread around the world. We now have a presence in 126 countries, and had 700,000 participants in 2006. Our goal is to reach one million by the end of the decade.
