McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has told Ferrari's Felipe Massa he can only expect the best from his future team-mate Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard has signed a three-year deal with Ferrari and will be joining Brazil's Massa in 2010 having raced alongside Hamilton in 2007. Massa caused a storm ahead of Sunday's Grand Prix when he said Renault's Alonso must have known about his team's tactics in last year's Singapore Grand Prix. Alonso has shrugged off Massa's accusatory comments and denied any involvement in the scandal. Hamilton said he expects Massa and Alonso to work well together. "What Felipe can expect from Fernando is nothing but the best. Fernando will give his best and Felipe will give his best and I guess we'll see who comes out on top. But I'll tell you it is going to be a great battle between them," he said. Massa has not raced since he suffered life-threatening head injuries at the Hungarian Grand Prix in July but is making good progress with his recovery and will return to the grid in 2010. Hamilton also said he was glad to see that Massa was recovering well and that he would form a strong team with Alonso. "I would just like to say that it is great to see that Felipe is back on his feet and is making a strong recovery and I'm looking forward to racing him next year. But I think him alongside Fernando is a very, very strong team and next year they'll both be very hard to compete against," he said.
