
On March 24, 1999, students from Technisch Instituut Tweebruggen, Ghent, Belgium made the world's largest ghent waterzooi. This is a classic Belgian dish made of vegetables, chicken and cream orignated in Ghent, Belgium. To prepare the giant version, students used 1,000 litres of water, 58.65kg of carrots, 49.75kg ( of celery, 59.3kg of leeks and 704.7kg of chicken fillets. Added to the main ingredients was 70kg of butter and flour and 25 litres of cream.
