
More than 90 veterans of the Land Girls, who kept Britain supplied with food and timber during World War II, have enjoyed tea at Buckingham Palace.The Queen, who herself served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the war, hosted the party in the palace's ballroom.Nicholas Witchell spoke to two of the guests Maureen Bainbridge and Frieda Feetham.
