Lagarde of France Says Sarkozy Kicking Economy 'in the Butt'

French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde talked with Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua in Paris yesterday about the outlook for the French economy, the European Central Bank's policies and the valuation of the euro and yuan. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, 52, won election three months ago pledging to revitalize the French economy. A 13.8-billion-euros ($18.9 billion) package of tax cuts and a push to make people ``work more to earn more'' will serve as a ``shock of confidence'' to the economy, Lagarde said.
