Faced with a variety of widespread misconceptions that a sunscreen product alone provides full protection against the two different hazards from UV-radiation, UVA and UVB radiation and with a view to improve the efficacy of sunscreen products against hazardous radiation, the European Commission intends to publish non-binding guidelines for producers on the efficacy and labelling of sunscreen products. A draft version of the guidelines will be made open for public consultation on 04/05/2006. In order to illustrate this subject, the European Commission's ' Audiovisual Service ' unit has prepared an infoclip which will include footage of: -Customer purchasing sunscreen products in a chemist, Seville, Spain -Holidaymakers on the beach using sunscreen products (adult and children).
