The song was written by Minogue, Paul Harris, Julian Peake, Richard Stannard, Adam Wiles and produced by Stannard and Calvin Harris. The song was released as the album's second single in Europe in February 2008, and third in UK and Australia on May 5th, 2008. The music video for "In My Arms" was directed by Melina and filmed in Los Angeles, California along with the video for "Wow". The video features several references to the 1980s style and music. There are five main sequences: the first features Minogue dressed in a crimson and white-chequered outfit, made by Gareth Pugh, with futuristic sunglasses; the second has Minogue singing into a microphone, on a blue recording room; the third scene is with a troupe of dancers; the fourth features Minogue in a yellow dress dancing in a pink box; and in the final scene she dances in front of a giant fan wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress. As the video concludes, the five scenes are intercut and gradually fade. The music video premiered on the internet on January 29, 2008. It premiered on television stations in Europe on January 31, 2008.
