Lisa Marie Presley has come out in defence of Scientology following the death of John Travolta's 16-year-old son Jett. Presley, Travolta, and Jett's mother Kelly Preston all follow Scientology along with fellow celebrities Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Presley's MySpace blog on Tuesday read: "I am writing this because I have noticed that for the most part, people and the media have been very sympathetic and respectful, but there are those certain ones that want to use this horrible tragedy as an opportunity to once again, blame and-or attack Scientology." Presley, daughter of Elvis, also wrote that it is untrue that Scientologists do not believe in medical care and insisted if "a medication will make it better then they take it." Travolta and family are thought to be holding a private memorial service for their son in Florida after flying his ashes back from the Bahamas. Jett died suddenly while the family was on holiday in the Bahamas. The cause of death was listed as "seizure disorder" on the death certificate. He had a history of seizures and was found unconscious in a bathroom on Friday.
