Officials in the Bahamas have bought in two pathologists to ensure a careful autopsy on John Travolta's son, who died at the actor's holiday home in Grand Bahama. The Hollywood film star's teenage son, Jett, died after apparently suffering a seizure and hitting his head. A house caretaker found Jett, 16, unconscious afterwhich he was taken by ambulance to a Freeport hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have broken their silence saying they were "heartbroken" by their sudden loss. Family attorney Michael Ossi told a news conference: "It is probably the worst day in the life of Mr and Mrs Travolta." "Jett Travolta was happy every day of his life. Mr and Mrs Travolta were great parents, did all they could to make sure their children were happy and we are deeply saddened at what occurred." Jett was the oldest child of Travolta, 54, and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, 46, who also have an eight-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. The family had arrived in the Bahamas on a private plane on Tuesday and were holidaying at their home in the Old Bahama Bay resort community. A US-certified clinical and forensic pathologist from Nassau will fly into Grand Bahama to help perform the autopsy. Travolta is said to be completing funeral arrangements and hopes to fly his son's body to Florida by midweek.
