Ever wondered how cornflakes are made, or how coffee beans are turned into instant granules? Pig farmer Jimmy Doherty is hoping to tell us. In his new programme, Jimmy's Food Factory, he looks into the contents of our shopping trolleys and tries to recreate mass produced food. The first installment sees him investigating items on our breakfast table, including cornflakes, sugar and coffee. But later in the series Jimmy tries to crack the secret recipe for coca cola. Jimmy said: "This isn't about putting people off their food. What really surprised me is how little we know. I'm a farmer and I manufacture food, but I still didn't realise that those cheese squares you buy are only 60 per cent cheese." The recently married star visits a host of food factories during the series, before trying to mimic their production lines in his gadget filled barn.
