Jenny to perform at Oscars

Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson has been asked to perform at the 79th Annual Academy Awards later this month.The star has accepted an offer to sing Best Song nominee Love You I Do, from the film's soundtrack.The performance is a major turnaround for the actress who was once rejected by Simon Cowell on American Idol.She is up for Best Supporting Actress at the February 25 ceremony, an award she picked up at the Golden Globes last month.Dreamgirls tells the story of a group of black female singers, loosely based on legendary group The Supremes.The movie is nominated for eight Oscars.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
