JAPAN: The stars of 'X-Men 3: The Last Stand', Halle Berry, Hugh Jackson and Famke Janssen visit Tokyo to promote the movie's Japan release

The cast of the latest 'X-Men' fantasy film appeared in Tokyo Thursday (July 13) to promote their movie about mutant super heroes in the Japanese movie market. "I've learned what it's like to work with beautiful women," Australia's Hugh Jackson told reporters in Tokyo. "For me, X-Men was the first film I did in America. So I was kid of a new kid on the block. I couldn't have landed in a better place. We, cast, feel like a family and we really enjoy working with each other." The plot of 'X-Men: The Last Stand', based on the Marvel comic series, is driven by a rupture within the mutant community when humans discover a treatment to 'cure' mutants. Some mutants craving a normal life queue up to take the cure, while others rise up in rebellion, leading to a dramatic final battle. "One of the scenes that really impacted we, as I watched it from the first time almost as a audience member because I had nothing to do with the scene, was the scene where the character Angel spreads his wings for the first time and flies through the window, it's poetic, it's beautiful, it's surreal and it's peaceful," Halle Berry said. "I thought, wow, I had no idea that was going on." The first film in the trilogy, 'X-Men', earned nearly 300 million U.S. dollars at the global box office and 'X2: X-Men United' more than 400 million. Both were directed by Bryan Singer, who left the franchise to direct 'Superman Returns'. X-Men III has taken more than 430 million USD at the global box office to date.
