Japan Says Sayonara Team USA, 9-4

So much for America's past time. Daisuke Matsuzaka stayed perfect in the World Baseball Classic while Roy Oswalt was shelled (3 1/3 innings, 6 ER) as the defending champs eliminated Team USA 9-4 Dodger Stadium on a chilly Sunday night. Japan will play South Korea in the final. Perhaps Hall of Fame Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda took the defeat the hardest. "I'm very, very disappointed. We had high hopes. This is the second time we were supposed to win. We taught these people the game." If its any consolation, Tommy, Opening Day is 13 days away.
