JAPAN: Academy Award winner Jodie Foster talks on her latest movie "The Brave One" in Tokyo

Two time Oscar winner Jodie Foster is in Japan to promote her latest movie, the action-thriller drama, "The Brave One". Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster plays a vengeance killer in her latest film, but in real life, she gets angry at electronic gadgets, not at people. "I have a problem with electronics. I can't ever make them work. It drives me crazy," she told a news conference in Tokyo on Tuesday (October 16) to promote "The Brave One". In the thriller, Foster plays a Manhattan radio personality who goes on a killing spree after her fiancee is murdered in a Central Park attack. A reporter asked if there was anyone in real life she wanted to take revenge on. "It's the only time where I lose my temper, is on inanimate metal objects," she said, to chuckles from the audience. She said what she was attracted most in this picture is that in real life women tend to go inward or hurt themselves when attacked by somebody, contrary to the movie plot. "What if one woman said, 'I am not going to destroy myself, I am going to destroy you' ? I think that it was astonishing when I felt it, astonishing to play and I think also captivates women who see it as well, because they know there is a part themselves may be very very deep down they have a fantasy of saying, putting a foot down and saying 'I am not going to destroy myself but I am going to hurt someone else,'" she said. "The Brave One" opens across Japan on November 1.
