Italy's new PM promises reforms

He was greeted by a crowd of supporters and media as he returned to Rome from his home in northern Italy. He won't be appointed prime minister before early May but pledged to use his big election win to push through economic reforms and close the border to illegal immigrants in a crackdown on criminals. He also promised to deal with the fate of loss-making national airline Alitalia and resolve a crisis that left thousands of tonnes on the streets of Naples.
