The stars of 'The Devil Wears Prada' graced the red carpet for the film's screening at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday (September 7) Helping its launch, actresses Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Anne Hathaway. Based on the international best-selling novel by Lauren Weisberger, "The Devil Wears Prada," the movie tells of a world where trends come and go and where thin is 'in'. Meryl Streep plays Miranda Priestly in the film - a character who, in the novel, is based on American Vogue editor Anna Wintour. She gets a helping hand from Nigel, played by Stanley Tucci, a top power-player at Runway Magazine. Nigel helps Andy revamp herself and appreciate her position as an assistant to the most powerful woman in the fashion industry. The film takes viewers through the whimsical ups and downs of the fashion world, while Hathaway learns to walk in her Manolos and differentiate between Dolce and Gabbana.
