A decision by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday to boycott the Al Jazeera news network because of its one sided coverage that priamrily serves Hamas was met with mixed reception. Many Israeli officials described the decision as illogical saying it would prevent Israel's reactions to events from being broadcasted in the Arab world. Others declared it was the correct way to deal with hostile media. Walid el Omri head of the network's Israeli bureau declared the station has yet to be officially informed and declared that decision is nothing more than an attempt to pressure and scare the network as Israel does in many Arab and non Arab regimes.03/12/08
