Interview: Peter Gaines of Transactions.ie - Social Networking for Businesses

Transactions.ie is an online, business-to-business networking tool. Its founders claim that its the first of its kind. Even business networking tools such as LinkedIn focus on the individual, rather than on the company and on networking in general, rather than on specific business activity such as buying and selling. Transactions.ie is different in that it focuses on companies rather than on individuals and on the products and services which they consume or provide. Intruders.TV met Transactions.ie co-founder Peter Gaines in July at at the Open Coffee Club Barbecue in Tipperary, on the same day the service was launched to the public. The company is based in Limerick and this initial release is targeted at the Irish market.
