It was a different kind of Open Coffee venue : a quiet village in Tipperary, far removed from main roads and busy towns. But sitting outside the Derg Inn in Terryglass, we were struck once again by the power of web technology and the business culture it nurtures. We don't need to be in a city hotel when all the essential ingredients of Open Coffee are right here: coffee (of course!), WiFi, good food and - most importantly - an enthusiastic crowd of about 80 entrepreneurs, innovators and enthusiasts. I've never seen so many Nokia N95 phones (black 8GB) in one place! Full credit is due to the organisers and sponsors , and especially to Evert Bopp who was the driving force behind this unique endeavour. And as he explains in this interview, plans are already underway for future events of a similar novel nature! Finally, congratulations to the winner of the competition, Daudi Kutta of Pitchside Products. Pressed for time with so many interviews to record, Intruders.TV was delighted to discover that Daudi's base is not far from our own, so we invited him to join us in studio in the near future. We look forward to bringing you that interview, along with many other great conversations recorded in Terryglass.
