Interview: Dan Gisolfi, IBM's Mashup Enabler

Dan Gisolfi works for IBM as an IT Architect. Lately he's been using another title: Mashup Enabler. Dan was at Mashup Camp 5 in Dublin to evangelise IBM's Mashup Starter Kit, and get feedback from developers and innovators in the mashup community. IBM is a stategic player in the mashup space. Dan describes Mashup Camp as like being "backstage" with the early adopters and innovators. Mashups aren't mainstream yet, but IBM are "ahead of the curve". He explains that mashup programming broadens the audience beyond IT specialists, to put developer tools directly into the hands of the subject matter experts who use the applications. IBM's Mashup Starter Kit includes QED Mashup Maker and Mashup Hub as well as a Mashup Feed Editor. More information on IBM and Web 2.0 .
