House passes Sullivan bill to distribute unused meds

Every month nursing homes and assisted living facilities discard thousands of dollars in safe, unused prescription medication. It's a real problem, especially when you consider so many Rhode Islanders are struggling to afford their medication. That's why Rep. Ray Sullivan authored a bill to allow for the collection and distribution of safe, unused prescription medications to low and middle-income families. The bill passed unanimously in the House and Senate and was later signed into law by the governor.
