Hollywood stars mingled with some of the biggest names in fashion at one of the most glitzy events of the year.Celebrities draped in one-off gowns attended the Golden Age of Couture charity gala event at the V&A museum in central London.Film director Quentin Tarantino and actress Thandie Newton joined fashion's elite, including Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and top designers John Galliano and Dame Vivienne Westwood at the glittering gala.The star-studded event was also attended by Elizabeth Hurley, footballer's wife Alex Curran and Russian model Natalia Vodianova.Welsh designer Julien Macdonald, hot off the success of revealing his new line at London Fashion Week, arrived with opera singer Katherine Jenkins on his arm.He said: "Couture is a dream - every woman wants to be made to look beautiful. The beauty is to have a dress modelled to your body, so you leave the house and you know you look absolutely impeccable."British-born Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue, said: "Couture is where a designer can express their ultimate fantasy and it isn't about being commercial or dressing anybody in the street.
