Hillary Clinton: Strength Is What I Need

Change is inevitable. Strength is only an option. Strength is what we need. Give $5 TODAY to http://www.hillaryclinton.com http://myspace.com/carriagehouse12 Hillary Clinton emerged victorious in yet another swing state. Tonight's convincing victory in the Pennsylvania primary for the Democratic nomination for the 2008 General Election for president of the United States was a display of Clinton's strength among key voting segments such as women blue collar white males catholics and so called "Reagan Democrats." In recent elections for President of the United States these swing voters have proved to be the difference makers and no candidate for President in the modern era of presidential politics has won without their support. Respondents to exit polls after the Pennsylvania primary drew stark contrasts in their perceptions of Hillary Clinton's ability and readiness to manage the issues most important to the them versus her opponent Barack Obama. The economy and national security yet again emerged as the top issues voters care most about and Senator Clinton won resounding victories on these issues. By outspending Hillary Clinton by a 3 to 1 margin in the Pennsylvania primary- Senator Barack Obama was able to cut into Hillary Clinton's once 20 point lead in Pennsylvania. However his victories among African-American's Affluent Whites and the youth vote were not enough to overcome Hillary Clinton's larger coalition of the Blue Collar so-called Reagan Democrats. As neither Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will emerge from the Democratic Primary process with enough delegates to lock up the Democratic nomination for President of the United States the Super Delegates will play the deciding role in the 2008 election. These Super Delegates will now have to weigh a number of variables in deciding who they will utimately support at the Democratic Party Convention in Denver. While Senator Obama won significant victories in several early smaller state primaries and caucuses- Hillary Clinton has won several key "swing states" such as Ohio Pennsylvania Florida and New Mexico that any democrat must win in the general election to have a serious chance at defeating a republican opponent. Another key metric these Super Delegates are watching closely is the popular vote. Senator Barack Obama's once commanding lead was slashed by 40% in the Pennsylvania primary. This shrinking margin along with a 300000 vote victory by Senator Clinton in Florida that is not officially recognized by the DNC makes Obama's once seemingly insurmountable lead look precarious. Super Delegates are said to feel that ignoring Florida's vote in their decision making process would be fundamentally flawed and to do so could be at ones peril. The two upcoming primaries in Indiana and North Carolina will add further data to help the Super Delegates make their important decision. North Carolina- with a large African American population should be an easy victory for Senator Obama. Indiana with an electorate more in line with Ohio, and Pennsylvania will be yet another contentious battle ground for swing voters. Hillary Clinton's success in similar contests bodes well for her in Indiana. HOWEVER RESOURCES ARE AN ISSUE. SENATOR CLINTON NEEDS YOUR HELP. DONATE ONLINE TODAY! Here are the lyrics to the song I get online I check the headlines I don't like what I see I talk to friends we're on the front lines It's easy to see Too much at stake It's not the first time We've had to pull together and fight Strength is what I need A voice that speaks to me 'Cause they've got theirs I need my Voice that speaks to me I'm full of hope but this is right now know how I feel. I got a house I got a car loan I need something real 'Cause it could fall apart I'm mean like right now These smoke and mirrors won't work anymore Strength is what I need A voice that speaks to me 'Cause they've got theirs I need my Voice that speaks to me
